For a long time, we had discerned a restlessness amongst an eclectic band of men and women, in our home of Ahmedabad, the city that’s historically housed some of the country’s best- known institutions in education, art and culture and in the country at large.

Some were affluent people who enjoyed comfortable living, possessed fine tastes and were astute in their life choices. There were also the corps d’elite, who were looking to reconnoitre domains other than their own. And then there were the young and aspiring, who admitted to a widening intellectual vacuum. Yet, they were all chasing a higher plain. They were seeking perfection through extraordinary experiences.
